“ALU / MET” is the program of international cooperation of Academy of Fine Arts of University of Zagreb and London Metropolitan University. Its backbone is the artistic research work and a short-term exchange of students of these two institutions. The program takes place for the eighth consecutive year. Every year, the program takes place in two stages. In the first phase, students of ALU, under the supervision of associate professor Nicole Hewitt, go to London. In the second phase, LMU students, under the supervision of senior lecturer Ben Cain, come to Zagreb. During their stay abroad, students participate in group seminars and presentations, visit galleries and museums, as well as attend lectures with the aim of designing and developing individual and collaborative art works. Although the main theme of the program varies from year to year, mainly what is pursued is the artistic exploration of topics related to “identity”, “displacement”, “unknown”,   “tourism”, “alienation”, “the exotic” and similar. The stay in London is concluded with an exhibition of works in the gallery of London Metropolitan University and the stay in Zagreb with the exhibition in the Gallery Miroslav Kraljević.
